October 24 · 9:00am - 5:00pm · Bent Creek Community Park
Bent Creek Pedal Fest
A small neighborhood checkpoint relay where teams choose their own routes, chase points, and hand off one rider at a time.
Relay Details
Join us for an 8-hour checkpoint relay based in Bent Creek Community Park on October 24. This is a small neighborhood event for friends and neighbors.
This year there are multiple checkpoint options instead of one fixed route. For each lap, start at Bent Creek Community Park, choose one checkpoint, ride there by your own route, then return to Bent Creek Community Park. Teams can repeat any checkpoint as many times as they want, and there is no requirement to complete every checkpoint.
Laps will be tracked through Strava, so connect with Strava to log in and join a team before relay day. Team members take turns completing laps; as soon as one person finishes and returns to Bent Creek Community Park, the next rider can begin.
After the Relay
After the relay wraps at 5:00pm, stick around at Bent Creek Community Park for the neighborhood hangout: potluck, bonfire, awards, and time together in the park.
National Forest Use
Bent Creek Pedal Fest is an 8-hour checkpoint relay based in Bent Creek Community Park. All organized event activity, including registration, starts, finishes, handoffs, timing and scoring, awards, parking, spectators, volunteers, food, activities, and staging, takes place in the park, not on National Forest System land. Participation is limited to 60 registered riders.
There is no entry fee. The relay does not require a payment or donation to register or participate, and contributions do not affect participation, scoring, awards, or eligibility.
During a lap, riders may independently use only open, designated National Forest trails and roads. The relay does not prescribe a fixed Forest course, close or reserve any Forest route, or give riders a special right-of-way; trails and roads remain open to the public, and riders must yield to other users.
No event signs, course markings, checkpoint equipment, volunteers, photographers, aid stations, or other event infrastructure will be placed or stationed on National Forest System land. Checkpoints are tracked electronically.
Riders must follow all current closures, orders, and posted rules.
